Rock, Paper, and Scissors is a game in which two players simultaneously reveal no fingers (rock), one finger (paper), or two fingers (scissors). The payoff to player 1 for the game is governed by the following table:

Note that the game is void if both players select the same alternative: otherwise, rock breaks scissors and wins, scissors cut paper and wins, and paper covers rock and wins. Use the linear-programming formulation of this game and linear-programming duality theory, to show that both players’ optimal strategy is to choose each alternative with probability.
